FAQs

  • I value quality in the items I use to create, so it starts by finding those treasures! My favorite places to hunt for these are at thrift stores, vintage shops, and thrift outlet stores (aka the bins!). I then bring the piece to my studio where I get creative! I feel the piece and look at fabrics I’m currently obsessing over, and an idea comes to life. I handmade each and every pattern and design I use, making each piece something you won’t find anywhere else! After piecing together many different fabrics and textures, voilá! Your wearable art piece is ready to rock in the wild.

  • Not only are all my clothing pieces pre-loved and upcycled, so is my fabric! I am always searching for creazy patterns and textures while I am thrifting or digging in the bins. You can ensure that each and every piece of fabric used in your piece will be something that was saved from the landfill and given new life :)

  • I love custom orders! To place a custom order, find this option in the ‘Shop’ page. At checkout, there will be a custom order form for you to tell me what you are looking for. After placing your $50 deposit. I will reach out to confirm all order details. Custom orders take 3-6 weeks.

  • Absolutely! To do this, find the custom order option on my ‘Shop All’ page and choose the ‘Personal’ option. Then send me a message at redhatcrafts@gmail.com and let me know what design you are thinking. If you are local, you can drop this item off at my studio. If you are not, please contact me for the correct shipping address and send it my way!

  • Sometimes handmade art is delicate! Maybe you played too hard or accidentally washed your piece on high heat the the fabric didn’t like that, no worries! I offer free repairs — forever! It doesn’t matter if your piece is 1 month or 3 years old, I will always fix rips and tears as they happen.

  • Each Red Hat clothing item is made from many different fabrics. To ensure a long lifetime of your piece, I recommend hand washing and air drying. If machine care is your only option, please turn your piece inside out and wash it on a cold, delicate cycle.
